So, this season seems to have tribes that aren't really tribes, double boots, Redemption, and a heavy focus on challenge prowess. OK. My first reaction wasn't very polite, I'll admit. I was like, Qu'est que fucque? Are you people fucking STUPID? You're TRYING to destroy any hope of a social game?

Fortunately, I came to my senses as my few remaining brain cells engaged. I realized that the social game is actually more important, because you need to maintain a social presence with the WHOLE CAST. Which made me throw up in my mouth, just a little bit, because some of these people make me realize that maybe Mr. Manson had a good thing going there. I mean, any game like this you can't discount everyone. But because you can never be certain who you'll be with tomorrow, or the next day, or the next, you have to do more. You have to engage people you'd rather set on fire and defenestrate.

There are a MILLION deals going around, which is logical because everyone feels insecure and wants *something* to hold on to in case cards fall poorly.

The most popular seem to include Fei, Ricky, Greg, Nicole, Lexi, OldMan, Jermaine, and Jedda. They all have come out the gate very strongly, which means they had better be prepared to play the entire thing as socially as they are doing it now. It is easy to make conversation and be loved 2 days in the game but I promise they will all start to annoy each other as early as next round.

The people whose positions I am most envious of are Zack, Joe, Animalfuckingstupidnicknamegrumblegrumble and Brenda. They have each caused a dull murmur, but seem to be well liked and included among the most alliance-crazy people (Ricky, Fei, OldMan) who will more than likely have the most power early in the game.

Aaron is in a league of his own right about here. Some people like him, others want him out. Everyone seems to have a general respect for him, but he seems to be on the bottom of any alliance that is including him.

Woods, Quantz, Jordan, and Ron Weasley seem similar to those named above in that they are staying quiet, but aren't getting the good press that the above are getting from the alliance crazy batch.

Tabatha, Honey, BK, and Brookie are totally along for the ride and would be the easiest to be piked off first. That being said, if either of the powerhouse pairings (Ricky/Nicole/OldMan, and Fei/Greg and their perspective followings) want to take a shot at the other, their best bet would be to curry favor with these four.

Cannot WAIT to see Joe and Jermaine work together. If they divide and conquer, they can totally take this thing.

I am quite pro-Joe, and I don't think I know much about Jermaine yet, but I like what I see. I think they have a great potential to divide and conquer. I support this.

What surprises me is that I also think I am liking Mr. Nax. His app didn't appeal to me, and my visceral, superficial assessment of his personality based on his photo is quite negative, but from what he's explained so far in his written confessionals and his video I'm actually really liking the way that he thinks. I wish he weren't tethered to the Axis of Evil though.
